HEATH CLUB LONDON

personal training & sport rehabilitation gym

There are some 2000 plus health clubs in London as well as a swelling base of personal trainers and related health professionals. It’s strange then on the other hand we have an ‘obesity’ epidemic of such great proportions that it is predicted to threaten the very structure of the NHS in the coming years more so than any other individual malady.

What is it about the message that is being given out to individuals, what are they achieving and what are they learning in these establishments or from health professionals. Why is there no commonality in common sense approach to what is essentially a simple dilemma.

Individuals are inherently lazy!
They don’t like exercise and don’t really believe that if they make an effort, that it will really be rewarded soon enough to encourage a positive ongoing response. Sure some people have tried this and that as well as strange and weird diets but it’s always – ‘back to the drawing board’ for most of those that haven’t received a good grounding in efficient distribution of efforts towards excursive and diet.  If people believe they only have 5 minute walk around the block and reduce calories a little to shave of the ever increasing excess then why are people’s excess leading to even greater excesses. No desire to understand the needs of good bodily function and little interest in encouraging those around them to do the same.
That laziness seeps into everyday life with decreasing activity during the day as well as diet with little preparation of regular fresh meals and an increasing frequency of dependency on low calorie already prepared food or takeaways.

IT DOESN’T WORK! Its allowing our population to slide into irresponsibility for themselves, develop poor understanding of body action and function and poor habits that are hard to break, not withstanding the nation are getting increasingly unfit to the stage where musculo-skeletal joint pain and poor conditioning inhibit enjoyment of activities which a short while ago were a regular feature of normal life.
Thank goodness for an oasis of honest health advice in London.
